These healthy diet banana soups are energizing and nutritious.
Green Banana Shrimp Broth

Ingredients
6 small green bananas
1 pound shrimps (fresh)
(You may want to use chicken breast or other meat.)
6 cups water
1 medium tomato
1 medium onion
4 Tsp soy sauce
2 Tsp chili powder
1 sprig thyme
Pinch of salt
Preparation
Wash and chop tomato, onion and thyme
Wash bananas
Peel 3 and leave 3 unpeeled
Cut peeled bananas in 2 lengthwise
Cut unpeeled bananas in 1/2 (or 1 inch) slices
Peel, devein and wash shrimps
Bring water to a boil
Put shrimps in water
Add salt and boil for 1 minute
Skim if needed
Add unpeeled banana slices and boil for 3 minutes
Add peeled bananas, chopped tomato, onion, thyme and sauce
Cook for 15 - 20 minutes
Serve hot and sip up this healthy diet broth.
Creamy Banana Soup

Ingredients
1/2 pound chicken breast
4 cups chicken stock
4 cups green bananas (chopped)
1 cup cream (low fat)
1 cup onion (chopped)
3 sprigs parsley
Pinch of salt
1/4 Tsp pepper (optional)
Preparation
Wash and cut chicken in thin strips
Put chicken stock in a soup pot and bring to a boil
Add chopped bananas, onion and salt (optional pepper)
Simmer for 20 - 30 minutes until bananas are soft
Remove bananas from pot and rub through a sieve
Pour mashed bananas back in pot
Add cream and stir well
Reduce stove burner to low and heat mixture for 3 - 5 minutes (do not boil)
Garnish with parsley, serve warm and dig in with this healthy diet treat.
Banana Fish Tea

Ingredients
8 - 10 small green bananas
2 medium onions
3 - 4 pounds fish (fillet)
2 quarts water (use more if needed)
1 pack flavored soup mix
2 stalks green onion (scallion)
3 sprigs thyme
Pinch of salt
1 hot pepper (optional)
Preparation
Wash and drain excess water from fish
Wash, peel and chop bananas in 1/2 - 1 inch chunks
Pour water in a soup pot and bring to a boil
Place bananas, fish and other ingredients in soup pot
(Water should cover the ingredients, so add more if needed)
Keep pot tightly covered and cook on medium heat for 25 - 30 minutes
(Bananas and fish should be soft, so adjust time if needed)
Add flavored soup mix and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat
(Check for desired consistency and taste; adjust if needed)
Serves 6 hot healthy diet bowls of soup
Banana Coconut Soup

Ingredients
2 pounds chicken breast
8 small green bananas
2 quarts water (add more if needed)
4 cups thick coconut milk
1 pound tomato
4 small irish potatoes
2 stalks green onion (scallion)
1 clove garlic
3 sprigs thyme
Pinch of salt
Pepper to taste (optional)
Preparation
Wash and cut chicken breast in thin strips
Put chicken in water and bring to a boil to make stock
Wash, peel and dice bananas and potatoes
Wash and chop tomato, scallion and garlic
Add to chicken stock
Cook until bananas and potatoes are tender
(Stock must cover ingredients, so add more water if needed, reduce if too much.)
Add thyme, salt and thick coconut milk
(optional pepper)
Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat

Rummy Banana Soup

Ingredients
4 cups chicken stock (Beef or goat meat stock may also be used)
8 small green bananas
1 cup grated coconut
1 cup croutons
1 ounce white rum
1 stalk green onion (scallion)
Pinch of salt
Pepper to taste (optional)
Preparation
Wash, peel and grate bananas
Mix grated bananas with stock
Push mixture through sieve
Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes
Stir consistently to avoid lumps
Add rum to mixture and stir
Wash and chop scallion
Wash and chop pepper (optional)
Combine scallion and (optional pepper) with grated coconut
Sauté grated coconut and scallion for 2 - 3 minutes
(No need to add oil to saute as the coconut itself has enough oil in it)
Add sautéed mixture to banana rum mixture
(Adjust mixture to desired consistency ….. add water if needed)
Let mixture simmer on low heat for 10 - 15 minutes
Serve this healthy diet soup piping hot
Creamy Ripe Banana Soup

Ingredients
4 ripe bananas
6 cups cream of chicken soup (low sodium)
Preparation
Heat cream of chicken soup (Do not boil)
Peel and mash bananas
Add bananas to cream of chicken soup and stir
Push mixture through a sieve for smoother consistency
Reheat mixture and serve
Banana Puree

Ingredients
2 cups beef stock (or chicken stock)
1 pack unflavored gelatin
1 cup tomato (chopped)
2 cups ripe banana (diced)
unsweetened whipped cream
1/2 Tsp curry powder
2 Tbsp lemon juice
Preparation
Dissolve unflavored gelatin in cold water
Stir gelatin in beef stock (or chicken stock) and chill
Shortly before serving, wash and chop tomato and dice banana
Add tomato and banana to chilled gelatin
Top with unsweetened whipped cream mixed with curry powder and lemon juice to flavor
Serve and enjoy this banana delight
